Syracuse Crisis Intervention & Prevention Program (SCIPP)

Helio Health’s Syracuse Crisis Intervention & Prevention Program (SCIPP) provides in-person crisis prevention and intervention services to individuals in the city of Syracuse. Staff are trained in nonviolent crisis intervention, solution focused therapy, trauma informed practice and motivational interviewing. SCIPP teams will be available to work with EMS and law enforcement on a coordinated opioid overdose related response to individuals experiencing crisis. The SCIPP team will actively engage with those in need of support by providing crisis de-escalation, distributing harm reduction kits and education, connecting to care services, and developing relationships with community members. Individuals can be provided additional supports through Helio Health’s continuum of care.

  • Crisis de-escalation, triage and assessment
  • Therapeutic interventions
  • Peer support
  • Harm reduction supplies and education
  • Crisis counseling and support
  • Referrals and linkage to services

 

Collaboration with:

  • 911/988 diversion
  • Law enforcement and EMS
  • Community based services
  • Syracuse city business and community members
