For those looking to build a career in the substance abuse field, Helio Health, Inc is an approved provider of the 350-hour CASAC Initial Standardized Curriculum. Courses are offered in-person or through distance learning opportunities. We also offer the initial certification training for the Certified Peer Recovery Advocate (CRPA). We offer continuing education to employees and other professionals interested in furthering their career in alcohol and substance use counseling, mental health and other human service disciplines.

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic – Syracuse

Our Syracuse, NY Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) provides a comprehensive array of services necessary to create access, stabilize people in crisis, and provide the appropriate treatment for those with substance use and mental health disorders. These services focus on additional integration that emphasizes recovery, wellness, trauma-informed care and other physical-behavioral health needs.

As one of only 13 CCBHCs in New York, our goal is to provide comprehensive outpatient mental health and substance use services that are person-centered, trauma-informed and evidence-based. Helio Health is committed to delivering services that are flexible and mobile to adapt to the specific and changing needs of every individual.

NOTICE TO PATIENTS:
This program serves all patients regardless of inability to pay. Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income. For more information, ask at the front desk.

Adults with substance use and/or mental health disorders
Children with substance use and/or mental health disorders
Those with long-term chronic substance use disorders
Under-served individuals and families
Low-income individuals and families
Individuals who are insured, uninsured or on Medicaid

Outpatient mental health and substance use services
Screening, assessment and diagnosis, including risk management
Primary care screening and monitoring
Targeted case management
Psychiatric rehabilitation services (daily living skills)
Ancillary withdrawal
Peer support, counseling services and family support services
Crisis mental health services
24-hour mobile crisis teams
Emergency crisis intervention
Crisis stabilization
Connections with other providers and systems including criminal justice, education, foster care, child welfare, primary care facilities and hospitals
CCBHC Outpatient Walk-in Services (formerly known as Open Access) hours of operation as of 12/11/23: Monday-Friday- 7am-8pm
